What Is Going On?!

Hello!!

What is going on?!

That's a question for you!!

As well as a question that we have been asked recently by many of you!

We have been keeping very busy as usual, tending to the things here on the Ranch as well as doing prep work for the teams that will be coming down from Canada and the USA in the coming months.

Our daily routine consists of getting up early around 5:30am to 6:00am, getting all of the animals fed and watered, doing a general yard clean up if the wind was blowing the night before, check our e-mails (so nice to have Internet!), and then set the plan for the day. Right now we are working on a number of projects for the Ranch in getting things prepared for the building project that will start in the new year. In "Phase One" we are planning to build new dorms, a kitchen, eating area, and common area that can be used by both local and out of town guests.

We are also working on coordinating all of the required items for a medical /dental team that is coming to Costa Rica from Florida in July. They will be working both in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, the logistical arrangements, government permissions, and other details are numerous.

There are many local groups that come to the Ranch to spend the weekend or just the day, Gayla and I have the privilege of hosting these groups.

We also have a few people who are keen on learning English, we work with them throughout the week helping them to learn English while they in turn help us with our Spanish.

Below are a few pictures of some of the family here on the Ranch. We recently had some new editions! Gera our little hound had a litter of 8 pups just last week, and Miss Smokey came to live at the Ranch with the other horses. So in total we have four horses, ten dogs, three cats, and a lot of cows!

This is Gera with her new pups, believe it or not there are eight of them in there getting lunch! When you have eight of them you have to go double decker!!

This is "Mr. Buster Whitesocks"
He is one of the family here, you can call him "Buster".

This is "Miss Smokey"
She is new to the Ranch but is fitting in with all the others.

Gayla and "Ole' Buddy Ole' Pal"
He goes by "Pal"

Mom you are making this harder than it has to be!
Can't you just lay down and feed us like a normal cat!!
